Three ways to gather三种收褶方式

No gather — also called a drop or barely-there veil. The tulle lies flat on the head and falls straight, with almost no volume at the crown.无收褶——也叫垂落式或“若有若无”头纱。网纱平贴在头上，直直垂下，头顶几乎没有蓬度。
Light gather — a small amount of tulle drawn in at the comb. Soft lift at the top, then an easy fall.轻收褶——在发梳处收进少量网纱。头顶微微隆起，随后自然垂落。
Full gather — the whole width drawn tightly onto the comb. Noticeable height and volume at the crown and shoulders.满收褶——整幅宽度紧紧收到发梳上。头顶和肩部有明显的高度与体积感。

The more tulle sits at the comb, the more the veil stands away from the head before it falls.发梳处的网纱越多，头纱在垂落前就越离开头部、向外撑起。

A full gather adds presence and height. No gather keeps the line close and lets the hair and the gown lead.满收褶增添存在感与高度；无收褶则让线条贴服，把焦点留给发型与婚纱。

No gather — hair down, low chignons and mantillas; slim, open-back or minimal gowns.无收褶——披发、低盘发与曼蒂拉戴法；修身、露背或极简婚纱。
Light gather — most hairstyles and most gowns; a gentle middle ground.轻收褶——适合大多数发型与婚纱，是温和的折中。
Full gather — sleek high buns and updos; ballgowns and structured, full skirts.满收褶——高而光洁的发髻与盘发；蓬蓬裙与挺括饱满的裙摆。

Comb placement — a comb under a bun hides the gather; on top of the bun it shows.发梳位置——插在发髻下方，收褶会被藏住；插在发髻上方，收褶就会显露。
Weight — a full gather puts more tulle on one point, so the comb needs a secure hold.重量——满收褶把更多网纱集中在一点，发梳需要固定牢靠。
Height — petite brides often prefer a light gather so the crown does not overpower the face.身高——娇小新娘常选轻收褶，免得头顶体积盖过脸庞。
