Start with the dress从婚纱开始
Look at your gown first: its shape, its detail and where the detail sits. A busy lace bodice usually wants a quiet veil. A plain crepe or satin gown can carry a veil with lace, embroidery or volume.先看婚纱：廓形、细节，以及细节在哪里。蕾丝繁复的上身通常配安静的头纱；素净的绉纱或缎面婚纱，则可以承载蕾丝、刺绣或有体积感的头纱。
If the back of your dress is the best part, choose sheer tulle or a veil worn low so the back still shows.如果婚纱最美的是背部，就选择通透的薄纱，或把头纱戴得低一些，让背部依然可见。
Five decisions, in order五个决定，按顺序来
- Length — sets the mood: short feels playful, cathedral feels ceremonial.长度——决定氛围：短款俏皮，教堂款庄重。
- Style — plain, two-tier, mantilla, embroidered, or a statement veil.款式——素纱、双层、曼蒂拉、刺绣，或个性款。
- Fabric — soft and fluid, or crisp and holding its shape.面料——柔软垂坠，或挺括有型。
- Colour — matched to your dress in daylight, not on a screen.颜色——在自然光下与婚纱对比，不要只看屏幕。
- Edging — invisible, fine, or a lace border that frames you.包边——无痕、细边，或衬托你的蕾丝边。
Think about the day itself想想婚礼当天
Where will you wear it? A long veil is beautiful in a church, on a beach or on rocks by the sea, but it needs space and a helper. A short veil moves easily through a tea ceremony, a dinner and dancing.你会在哪里戴它？长头纱在教堂、海滩或海边礁石上都很美，但需要空间和一位帮手。短头纱则能轻松应对敬茶仪式、晚宴和跳舞。
Many brides wear a long veil for the ceremony and photos, then take it off for the party.很多新娘在仪式和拍照时戴长头纱，派对开始后再取下。
Hair and comb placement发型与发梳位置
- Sleek bun — comb above or below the bun; short and statement veils look clean here.光洁发髻——发梳插在发髻上方或下方；短款和个性款头纱在这里显得干净利落。
- Low chignon — comb just above it; lovely with mantillas and long veils.低盘发——发梳插在发髻正上方；与曼蒂拉和长头纱很相配。
- Hair down — comb at the crown; a light veil keeps the hair visible.披发——发梳插在头顶；轻薄的头纱能让头发依然可见。
- Over the head — mantilla style, framing the face.覆盖头顶——曼蒂拉戴法，柔和地框住脸庞。
